BRIT Award-winning singer/songwriter Tom Walker returns with his brand new single, “Wait For You.” Preview it below.
Recorded during lockdown, the song was written by Tom along with Joel Pott (George Ezra, London Grammar, Mabel) and Cam Blackwood (George Ezra), produced by Cam Blackwood and mixed by Spike Stent.
“This song is about a mate of mine who went through a life changing event as a teenager,” Tom explains. “It took a long time for him to heal and aspects of what happened have taken a toll on his life. Fast forward to now and he’s one of the most outgoing, positive people you could ever meet.
It got me thinking that we can all go through tough times; it’s what you choose to do after that is important. If something positive can come out of it, that’s a really special thing.”
Tom, whose global streams have just passed two billion, was the biggest selling UK signed artist last year, and he is currently working on a new album.
The BRIT Award-winning UK singer, songwriter, and artist continues to make waves on both sides of the pond since the release of his debut album What A Time To Be Alive. Billboard profiled him with an in-depth feature and praised his 2019 debut as a “14-song collection of heartfelt lyrics, striking guitar and striking vocals.” He also delivered standout performances of the breakout single “Just You & I” on shows like The Late Late Show with James Corden and The TODAY Show. He even performed for Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton. Walker also received his first-ever honor at the prestigious 2019 BRIT Awards, winning Best Breakthrough Act—cementing him among an elite club of honorees including Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa, The Arctic Monkeys and more.
